The Open Source Service-Centric Business Model

In this session, I'll be addressing emerging business models for open source software, explicitly a service-centric approach, in contrast to a product-centric software industry. While using the larger context of open source's impact on intellectual property, as well as the changing relationship between the producer and consumer of software, I'd like to argue for the role and potential profitability of a service-oriented industry arising from the phenomena of open source software.
