Licensing Strategies for Cross-Project Collaboration

Collaborative development is one of the advantages of Open Source and Free Software. When two projects adopt different software licenses, however, legal obstacles can prevent the reciprocal sharing of code. This talk addresses the legal realities of cross-license collaboration and presents a system of strategies and best practices for ensuring problem-free collaboration between projects under different licenses, with a particular focus on projects using the GPL and those using permissive, non-copyleft licenses.
