This talk is about AMD's Open Source GPU drivers how you can use them and how you help make them better.
Presentation Description:
AMD's Open Source GPU driver team works in conjunction with the
Open Source developer community to develop a completely Open Source
driver stack which includes kernels drivers, userspace drivers, and
several higher level API implementations.
In addition to exposing 3D graphics functionality with OpenGL, AMD's Open
Source drivers have experimental GPGPU support and also enable users to
take advantage of hardware accelerated video encoding and decoding via
high level APIs like OpenMAX and VDPAU.
In this talk, we will take a look at how AMD's Open Source team
collaborates with the Open Source developer community to develop these
technologies, what features are available, and also how Open Source users
and developers can help make these drivers better.
