The BigBlueButton project offers an open source web conferencing system. The client is Flash-based, and the project is moving its real-time collaboration to an HTML5 client. We're leveraging the WebRTC capabilities of FireFox and Chrome to enable users to broadcast their audio and video without requiring Flash. This presentation will cover our learning and success (and failures) to date for using HTML5 and WebRTC.
