LTSP allows multiple terminal (Thin Clients) users to simultaneously use the same computer (Linux Terminal Server). The terminal handles input and output while a lot of the work gets done on the server. Terminals are low-cost, energy efficient and do not require a hard disk or moving parts. LTSP is popular in the educational sector as it provides a low cost solution to creating a computer lab.
