Mike's career has taken him back and forth between the hardware and software realms over the years. Before working at Mozilla, Mike was responsible for the TCP/IP stack on RIM's GSM-based BlackBerrys, developed the VPN framework for the first multi-radio BlackBerry, and also dabbled in device drivers and POSIX support. Before that, he was responsible for battery charger and power supply design for the CDMA-based line of BlackBerrys.
Mike is currently working on plumbing camera support into the upcoming Firefox OS, and is enjoying no longer having to check with a legal department before discussing his work in public.
